I wanted to let you know about this lovely perfume that I found in Boots! My friend was wearing it the other day and it smelled lush. I knew I had to have it.
It’s a very sweet and fruity scent that is very similar to Ralph by Ralph Lauren, which I love, but it’s much cheaper at £3.99 for 15ml! Brilliant.
The perfume lasts for a long time which is unexpected for a cheap perfume.

Mascara Review
I am a mascara addict, I admit it! I have my staple mascara's but cant resist to try new ones and always have at least 4 in my make up box at any time, I don't think Rachel has actually bought a new mascara in years as she just comes round and gets my cast off's. These are just a few that we wanted to review first, there are loads in the photo (there would be more but I had a culling a month or so ago) that we have lying around and haven't used in ages but we will start using them again and let you know how it goes!
Bourjois – Volume Fast & Perfect:
I bought this because I am a sucker for any sort of mascara gimmick and any new mascara that promises something brilliant. We haven't really used Bourjois mascara before and we cant really think why... it is a rotating mascara that rotates clockwise and anticlockwise, it takes a lot of skill to master so that you get the rotation in the right direction, I haven't used it that much as it takes time to get the look right. We agree that the rotation isn't really necessary and you could get the same look without it. It is a nice mascara but the brush is quite disappointing, good to try once but I wont buy it again specially at £11.99, however we both agree that we would like to try other bourjois mascaras. 5/10
Benefit – Bad Gal Lash:
This is a bit of a classic mascara, everyone we know has had this mascara, though not the cheapest at £15. It does have a huge brush to give a volumised effect but to be honest I have gone off this mascara as whenever I use it I seem to get it all over my eyelids when i'm applying it no matter how careful I am, and it seems to take a few coats to build up a look then takes a while to dry, it also seems to melt during the day and you can sometimes look like a panda on a hot day! But saying that it is a classic that always creeps into our stocking at Christmas and i'm always pleased to see it! 7/10
L'Oreal – Volume Million Lashes:
I adore this mascara, the brush is medium sized and is plastic so it grabs each lash and seperates, it can get a bit claggy but you can just wipe the excess on the side. It is good for a daytime look and you can build the mascara up for a great fake lash look for night time. It isn't the cheapest mascara on the high street at £11.29 but it has really become my staple mascara that I always turn to. 9/10

Collection 2000 – Big Fake:
Good fat brush giving a great volumised look, it also allows for applying coats to build so brilliant for when your feeling lazy and cant be bothered to take your old mascara off! We think best for thick night time lashes and a steal at £4.99. We would give this 8/10.
Yves Saint Laurent – Shocking:
We got this as a sample from a very nice lady in Boots when we were buying our Mam another YSL mascara for her birthday, it's worth maybe asking at the counter to see if they have any left!
I was really pleased with this mascara the brush isn't that fat but it goes on really smoothly and grabs each lash to lengthen and separate, but you can build it up easily to get a more volumised look without clumps. 9/10 - it would have been 10 but the price is a bit much at £22 to buy all the time.

| Sorry for the blurry picture - i will try and replace it! |
Noveau Lashes – Black Mascara:
I got this with the December Glossybox, I was really disappointed it dried really quickly and felt very crispy on my lashes which meant I didnt have time to apply another coat, and my lashes were left looking clumped together. It does have a small brush so I found it quite useful for my bottom lashes, but I wouldn't go out and buy it. 3/10
Are you a mascara addict too?
Deals of the week!
Boots currently has all of it's Christmas gifts half price!
Perfect if you saw something you would have loved for Christmas but didnt get. I bought my Mam a Hello Kitty Liberty print make up brush set for £6 originally £12 absolute bargain, she had been using a paint brush to put on her eyeshadow and blusher, I kid you not!
Superdrug also has a Blue Cross sale on all it's Christmas gifts but there not all half price.
Boots £5 off No7
If you spend over £5 in boots you will get a voucher for £5 off all No7 products and the other half of the voucher that no one ever uses...maybe for an eye test! I go mad for this I always stockpile on their face wipes which are brilliant but at £7 usually too pricey for us and together we must have their whole range of nail vanishes! It's also perfect timing as No7 has 3 for 2.
L'Oreal 2 for £14 in Boots
L'Oreal currently has an offer on foundation (inc. powder) and Million lashes mascara (which we love, see review), you can buy both for £14, saving over a fiver, and in some Boots if you spend over £15 they still have the free Christmas gifts left!
We promise it wont always be Boots offers but these are the current offers that are exciting us the most and we have already told our friends about!
Have you seen any good deals?
BB Creams! Garnier vs. No7
BB Creams were the new phenomenon to hit the high street in 2011, they have become so talked about that my friend told me her dad asked her if she had heard of them and how great they were!
What are BB Creams? Garnier tells us that B.B. creams (short for Blemish Balm) are hybrid products which combine the benefits of skincare and make-up in one. Initially developed by a German dermatologist in the 1950s, to soothe skin and provide coverage, B.B. Creams were made famous in South Korea by an actress famed for her beautiful skin.
I originally tried Garnier BB Cream after receiving a free sample, I was really impressed with the product and thought that it gave brilliant coverage for essentially a tinted moisturiser and my skin did look more healthy when I wore it, however I thought even the light was a bit too dark on my skin and a few times I went back to the box to double check I hadn't picked up the medium. I also have an oily T zone and found this cream made it worse so had to wear powder over the top so I didn't look like swamp thing! But I do really like the product the benefits out way the cons.
However Rachel has tried the Garnier Cream once and when going through my make up for things to steal and she wasnt impressed, she found that the it felt dry and powdery on her skin and didnt make it feel healthy or feel any different from normal foundation. She does say perhaps she didnt give it a fair trial time wise but we both it agree it smells lush.
So when we were in Boots the other day we noticed that No7 have brought out their own BB Cream we knew we had to give it a try, what was different about No7 was that their range is tailored for people with dry, very dry and oily skin which was brilliant for us, the No7 version also has SPFF 15, it is priced at £12.95 but if you time it with the boots No7 £5 off vouchers (which are available now) you can get it for a steal at £7.95.
Rachels Review – Normal/Dry:
I love it... it feels really soft when applying it to my skin and when it sinks in, it doesnt feel as heavy as normal foundation but still gives light to medium coverage, my skin feels rehydrated and soft to touch. I do feel at the minute that my skin isnt in the best of condition to move to a lighter coverage so havent been wearing it a lot but it feels good enough that I will try and make the step to wearing it all the time!
Elaine's Review – Normal/Oily:
I like this, it is that bit lighter when you apply it as it's more fluid, and a little bit goes a long way and the coverage it just as good as Garnier, I also feel that the colour (fair) matches my skin tone a lot better, but I dont think it makes your skin as luminous. I would definitely buy this again. It is more expensive than Garnier but there are a tiny few more pros especially when you get £5 off.
Have you tried them yet? What did you think?

Hello World!
After a long time of Rachel nagging me, we have finally decided to start a beauty blog! I love trying out new make-up and always share with friends if i have found something good or if there is something to avoid, which means Rachel likes getting all the cast off's from my expanding make up box! We are always on the hunt for a good deal and always share the best offers with friends and family.
We are normal girls who don't have a huge budget so use items from the high street and high end brands (that we have normally got as birthday presents!) so there is something for everyone.
Rachel has a background in fashion and studied Fashion Marketing, so we will try to do our best to put in fashion and style posts.
By the way we are sisters with very different styles and skin/hair types so we more than likely wont agree on things but at least you will get different perspectives!
Please be patient whilst we get used to writing our first blog, hope you enjoy!
