Updated Review - Garnier BB Cream for combination/oily skin

I've had the new Garnier BB Cream for Oily/combination skin for a month now, so thought I would do an updated review so I could let you know if my original thoughts had changed, you can see my first post here.

I have been using this BB Cream everyday since I bought it and I can honestly say that I still love it, I haven't had to reach for my face powder once when I wear it, which is a miracle for me! I'm very impressed.

In my original review I didn't think that the BB cream gave much of a radiant glow compared to the original but I have definitely changed my mind about this, it really does give your skin a nice healthy glow that doesn't look faked, it wasn't until I used a different BB cream that I realised just how good the Garnier one was, when I use the Garnier cream my skin always looks even and matte with a nice glow. Although I can't say that it minimised the appearance of my pores, but I have quite large pores and I think that I would need polyfiller for my pores to appear smaller!!

Garnier actually claim that after using the BB cream for 4 weeks skin will look less oily, pore appearance is minimised, imperfections are visibly reduced and skin radiance is improved, so did I find this to be the case for me... well... no, but if I'm honest I wasn't expecting it to, it's a pretty big claim for a £7 BB Cream.

I can honestly that I still really like this product, and would recommend it to anyone with oily skin.

Have you tried out the oily/combination Garnier BB cream yet?

Elaine

  2. I have the regular Garnier BB cream that I read so many bad reviews on and I actually love it - I read so many reviews saying that the colouring was off, but I just got the shade lighter than I would normally get :) I personally love the Garnier formula as its a but thicker than the other high street brands I've tried :)

    1. I loved the original too, this formula is much more watery than the original but gives good coverage. x

  3. I didn't like their first BB cream and am really excited to try this one. It's been said that the coverage is also better than their regular BB cream? x

    1. I'm not sure if it has better coverage than the original, but as the formula is much lighter it can easily be built up for better coverage, as it is lighter I have also been using it as a base for some of my light foundations. x

  4. Their first BB cream was waaay too oily for my skin and i was so excited when i saw this in stores while travelling. I have never found anything so perfect for my skin because I hate wearing full foundation everyday and nothing else controls the oil quite like this. I'm panicking now because I'm back in Australia and I haven't heard anything about it being released here yet and I'm almost finished the first tube!

  5. I know this works so well for oily skin! Oh no hopefully they will release it in Australia soon! Good to see other people like it as much as me.

  6. I've used the original Garnier BB Cream and I have oily skin. It was relatively ok but the shine on my face was scaring my bf whenever we'd dine out in the evening as I would have applied this late morning early afternoonish. I'm hoping to purchase this new BB cream this week as it's still on offer at Superdrug (not Boots sadly hoping to have wonderful points but never mind) and hopefully it will be a less scary result after wearing it for more than 6 hours :D.

    Thanks for the reviews.

  7. I really recommend this BB cream for oily skin, it's been a miracle for me.
Do you have a superdrug card? I would recommend it, I used to hate missing out on my boots points when I bought things in superdrug, soo pleased they brought out their own points card. x

  8. So since I hit puberty, I've always had numerous tiny pimples on my forehead - and its because I also have combination skin! They'd come and go in different areas, but I've always had them there. Nothing else besides Citrus Clear has EVER cleared my skin. I am 100% pimple free. I suppose all of those acne treatments i used previously were irritating my skin further.
I only use one pump, when I take showers. Furthermore, if I forget to wash my face that day, (I generally only wash my face once a day now) then I STILL don't usually break out, and I wear face makeup as well!

    1. Hi, after reading your comment I just wanted to ask you if you've had any problems with this product because by the way you describe your acne problem it seems that I have a very similar problem to you, except I have tried everything to get rid of it but nothing is working for me. So I just want to know if there are any cons to this product before I do more research on it and possibly get it myself.
